Summary:

Responsible to maintain a USCG Master of Towing Vessels Upon Inland Waters and Western Rivers license with a valid radar endorsement, FCC (Radio) license, and a TWIC card. Responsible for the safe and efficient running of the vessel that has been appointed to your command. The Company relies upon the Captain to set a high standard of personal and professional conduct and to set an example to the other crew members under their command.

Key Qualifications

Required to demonstrate physical demand requirements during initial pre-employment physical and any future physicals while employed. Work up to 15 hours in a 24-hour period, or more than 36 hours in a 72-hour period, except in an emergency situation.

Resposibilities

Comply with all applicable U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Rules (Rules of the Road). The Captain will remain fully informed and adheres to the provisions of the Certificate of Inspection (COI), relevant laws, regulations, and directives affecting the operation of the vessel.
